Your trip cost is the total of all your prepaid, nonrefundable expenses, such as:
Traveling with others? Calculate each traveler's trip cost separately, based on their share of the trip — not who pays. Think: "How much is this person's portion of the trip cost?" rather than "How much did this person pay for the trip?"
For example, if you're going on a cruise with your spouse and the cost is $1,000 per person, list $1,000 under your name and $1,000 under your spouse's name — even if one person is paying for everything.

We recommend buying our travel insurance as soon as you book any part of your trip (like a flight ticket or a hotel reservation).

No, we don't cover destinations that:
We want you to enjoy seeing the world — and come home safely. Some destinations carry higher safety risks for travelers, so we limit or prevent coverage for trips to, through, or from these locations.
You can cancel your Travelex policy within 21 days* after purchasing for a full refund, as long as you haven't filed a claim or departed yet.
Important: We count the date you purchased your policy as day one of your review period.
*The review period for residents of Indiana, New Hampshire, and Utah is 30 days.
